Virus & Malware
Malware removal
Infections of viruses, spyware, adware and other malicious software is on the rise!
Types of Malware
Malware is an umbrella term used to describe any unwanted programs that have found their way onto your computer.
A Computer Virus can slow down your computer or stop Windows from booting up.
More worryingly, some can expose your personal information to cyber criminals and/or delete your important files.
Spyware and Adware are malware programs that exist to supply your personal information and browsing data to
marketing companies and bombard you with unwanted advertising.
Symptoms
Symptoms of a Malware infection can include: your computer running slow, unexpected freezing, frequent unexpected 'pop up' messages and adverts and ironically,
pop-up messages telling you that your machine is infected with a virus and offering to fix the problem with a download.
Data Recovery
Lost some files?
Often your files and data can be more important than the computer itself!
Reasons for data loss
Business files, personal photographs and important emails are much harder to replace than a broken computer.
Data can be lost in many ways, from simply accidentally deleting some important files to losing a whole hard drive.
Sometimes malware or poor quality software can destroy or corrupt your data, or a hardware fault can cause some or
all of your files to become unreadable.
Recovery
In many cases, lost files and data can be fully or at least partially recovered.
It is important that you stop using your PC or laptop as soon as you notice some of your files
are missing or inaccessible. Continuing to use your computer can severely decrease the chance of recovering
your data. We will assess the situation and advise you of the best course of action.
If we are unable to recover your data, you will not be charged.
